Friday Week One Term 2 Daily Challenge
We were at the table having dinner when out of nowhere Dad hit us with a big surprise. “Guess what kids.” Dad said in a cool calm voice.”We’re going on holiday!” He screamed with such enthusiasm that the neighbours probably heard him. The whole table erupted with cheering for a few seconds before simultaneously stopping. “Where did you get enough money to buy a hotel for nine people?” He suddenly stopped smiling. “Well I got it off site called Booking.com.” Everyone stared at him suspiciously. “It said it was near the beach, has a golf course and it even has internet. Everyone sprang back into excitement. “Internet, internet, internet, internet!” everyone cheered. But when we arrived it was another dud excitement and energy wasted, on a boring old haunted castle.

2020 Lock Down
From the 26th of March we have been in lock down due to the corona virus pandemic. While in lock down I have been doing school work, gaming, jobs (especially gardening ones), going for walks/bike rides, playing board games with my family and watching movies. Whenever I am at my dads house, we have to walk down the drive way to check our neighbours house while they are away. They are away because just before the pandemic they bought a motor camp near Whanganui. So when they moved there they couldn't come back for some of their stuff.
Although it can get a bit boring, I quite like being in lock down. I think its a fun, new experience. I feel that the lock down is really helping to rid New Zealand of corona virus. Most people are staying home and helping to keep corona virus at bay. But there are some people who are sneaking out to see their friends or family. The only problem with being in lock down is that if they don't come out soon the country's economy will be devastated by it. Overall I am liking being in lock down, but I do think that we should come out soon to raise the economy back to normal even if it takes a while.
