I am a student at Ōtaki College in Ōtaki, NZ. My blog is a place where I will be able to share some of my learning. Please note....some work won't be edited - they are just my first drafts, so there may be some errors. I would love your feedback, comments, thoughts and ideas on my posts.
Kia Ora Louis,
ReplyDeleteWhat a brilliant presentation on the Water Project. You’ve included a lot of incredible facts. I didn’t realise how many people started their day hunting for drinkable water. It’s so crazy considering how different our days start as citizens of a developed country.
I agree wholeheartedly that water is the best way to help much of Africa out of poverty. When you think about it, if African citizens didn’t have to walk so far everyday to get drinkable water, they would have much more time to dedicate to other activities such as education which could better their lives. If we could get them more drinkable water, we could help make such an incredible difference.
I know a lot of charities such as Oxfam and World Vision donate many resources to Africa. Some of these include funds to build wells, as well as food and medicines. These contributions make a lot of difference. What other ways do you think we could help people in Africa?
Have you considered slowing down the speed at which your slideshow plays? It can be a little bit fast for the amount of text your audience needs to read. Perhaps you could also include some pictures to compliment your writing.
Hei konā mai,
